DR AMANDA CHUNG

Dr Amanda Chung is a urological surgeon who cares for general urology patients. She also has a special interest and further subspecialty qualifications in urogenital reconstruction (such as urethral stricture), functional urology (such as lower urinary tract symptoms, incontinence and erectile dysfunction) and neurourology for both women and men.

Amanda completed her medical degree (BSc (Med) / MBBS) at the University of New South Wales in 2007, Master of Surgery (MS) at the University of Sydney in 2012 and became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2016. Furthermore, she completed a Fellowship of the Society of Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgeons (Eastern Virginia Medical School, Norfolk VA, USA) in 2017. She is a Member of the Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand. She combines her clinical work with research and completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) through the University of Sydney “Detrusor ultrastructural studies in geriatric lower urinary tract dysfunction: correlation of features and development of a standardised protocol” in 2023.

Amanda joined Sydney Urological Associates in 2018 and operates at Sydney Adventist Hospital, North Shore Private Hospital, Royal North Shore Hospital, Northern Beaches Hospital and Macquarie University Hospital. She has consulting rooms at Wahroonga, St Leonards and Mona Vale.

EMMA TWIGG

Emma’s international rowing career spans over two decades, marked by perseverance, resilience and triumph at the highest levels of sport.


Since 2009, Emma has consistently ranked among the top four women’s single scullers in the world. She is an 11-time National Champion, the first New Zealand rower to compete in five Olympic Games, and is both an Olympic and World Champion. Despite narrowly missing the podium with two 4th place finishes at the London 2012 and Rio 2026 Olympics, Emma took a break from rowing before returning stronger than ever to become Olympic Champion at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. At her fifth Olympic Games in Paris 2024, at age 37, she further cemented her legacy by winning a silver medal.

Now at 38, Emma is taking on a new challenge in the newly formed Beach Sprint discipline, where she claimed a World Championship title in her first year of competition (2025).


Off the water, Emma is a proud mother to her son, Tommy, a passionate advocate for the LGTBQ+ community, and a committed champion for elevating the athlete’s voice and serves on multiple sports governance groups and was recognised for her contributions to rowing with a New Zealand Order of Merit. Emma holds a FIFA Master’s in Management Law, and Humanities of Sport, complementing her Bachelor of Communication from the University of Waikato.
